Hi, I have uploaded 5.6.1 to the main Debian archive for inclusion in
the next release (Wheezy), but the test suite fails [1] for the "armel"
achitecture [2] in the following sense:

Testing MAC algorithm Panama-BE.

I am not really sure how to debug this...

Cheers,

A. Because it breaks the logical sequence of discussion.
Q. Why is top posting bad?

I'm doing some testing with the llvm compiler (http://llvm.org) on x86, and the Panama tests are also failing for me (fails at -O2, passes at -O0)

If I had to bet, I would guess that my problem is with llvm, but I'm mentioning it here as an extra data point.

The armel machines in the GCC compile farm
(http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/CompileFarm) are all offline. How can I get a shell
account on a live armel machine to debug this?

Or, if you want to try debugging this yourself, use 2 machines, one armel,
another one where Crypto++ works, set some breakpoints in panama.cpp, and
step through the code to see where they start to differ.

[Sorry for the late reply, I was without internet access for a long time.]

I will see what I can do...

Also the Tahoe-LAFS Software Foundation will have a SheevaPlug
delivered to your house if you but ask. :-)
