Thanks - Fruit and Veg stall at East Croydon

Thanks to all the people who helped save the Fruit and Vegetable stand
near East Croydon Station.

The independent goverment adjudicator threw out Croydon council's case
- not a danger to pedestrians, doesn't impair visual amenity (and
lovely fruit and veg!)

They are now thrilled to get on with their mission to encourage even

The Croydon Council Planners are trying to close the Fruit and veg
stall at East Croydon station. Shame they can't spend their time
closing down the discraceful pet store instead.

It's crazy when the NHS is encouraging us to eat more fruit and veg to
reduce the opportunities to buy fruit and vegetables.

You dont have to be Chinese to eat Chinese food, and you dont have to
be veggie to eat veggie food! Come and sample some delicious food, all
free of charge! There will be cake, veggie sausages, veggie burgers,
pizza, ice cream, curry and more! There is also an opportunity to take
part in a free cookery workshop and browse the stalls. All welcome -

World Vegan Day November1st will be celebrated in Croydon at Oasis
Natural Products 96 High Street with free samples to taste. Lush
Cosmetics (Near Woolworths) Have been challenged to go Vegan for the
day. Ask your favourite restaurantsif they can put on Vegan Specials
for the Day.

Mayday and Croydon Hospital experiences

Aren't we lucky! Croydon's Mayday is one of only 4 in the country that
have Burger King doing the catering! Should the NHS really not be
better off trying to set a good example and showcasing healthy food?
Anyone tried the food at Mayday? my wife was given baked beans in a
potato with stale white bread.

Hi my name is Tony Bishop-Weston. I run a nutrition consultancy
service in London. We have a clinic in Croydon above Oasis Natural
Health in the High street.
I used to run a vegetarian guest house in Scotland and have written a
couple of vegan cookbooks, worked for both the vegetarian and vegan
societies and appear on veggievision.
