Importing / Exporting files to CDOS IMD Disk images

Hi
I've been enjoying CDOS (and 86-DOS) using Altair SIMH which both use
the IMD format for virtual floppies. Alas I have been unable to find
a way to import / export files because R.COM and W.COM are not
supplied. I've tried using the punch or reader devices (which work
fine for CP/M) but to no avail.
Can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks!
