We are currently reviewing the GRV that we use on our ICU of 250mls.
Im aware that some ICUs are currently using 400-500ml could someone
direct me to the appropriate literature or evidence to support this.
Kind Regards Tracy

Hello Tracey

I do realise how old your post is, however, we are about to review our GRV which is currently 200ml. We (dieticians) are wanting to introduce 500ml in line with PENG. I'd be interested to hear how you got on in your unit. Are you now using 400-500ml?

many thanks
Rodney

I no longer work on Critical care but and I am a specialist Nutrition nurse -  However I believe they are still accepting GRV of 250mls. I  have forwarded your email to Dr. Will Woodward Intensivist for more information.
