From a web novice slicing a PNG file to export to DW -

I just noticed that the automatically generated slices on my nav
buttons are not appearing in the web layer like the ones that I
created manually. Is that typical? If not, what might I have done to
mess this up?

If anyone has even a guess, please contact me. Also, if there are ever
any web designer/developer get-togethers planned, I'd like very much
to attend.
