Hi all,
Earlier we had a discussion thread in response to the govt's plans for Singapore to be an IP hub.
It's announced that feedback & views can be sent directly to Ministry of Law:

Intellectual Property Policy Division

You can, of course, use this list to refine ideas or feedback before you submit to Min Law, if you wish. Or share what you submitted to them. As most of you may know, CC-Singapore isn't a formal registered entity. CAPTEL, which we are may be in a better position to formally champion the CC cause, so to speak. Personally I need to process more on what this 'IP hub' means. I'll write to Min Law in my personal capacity.
Here's the CNA article:
The IP steering committee, chaired by Mr Teo Ming Kian, Chairman of MediaCorp, will formulate the IP Hub Master Plan to guide Singapore's development as an IP hub.
The two sub-committees will focus on developing a vibrant marketplace for IP transaction and commercialisation, and building world-class IP capabilities and infrastructure.
The first sub-committee, co-chaired by Mr Magnus Bocker, Singapore Exchange CEO and Mr Viktor Cheng, Deputy Chief Executive (Infrastructure and Capability Development Group / Corporate Services Group), Intellectual Property Office of Singapore.
Its term of reference include coming up with strategies to build a vibrant marketplace in Asia for the transaction and commercialisation of IP and facilitate and encourage greater IP exploitation by companies.
The second sub-committee is co-chaired by Dr Stanley Lai, head of Intellectual Property Practice at law firm Allen & Gledhill and Ms Danielle Yeow, Deputy Chief Executive (Registries Group / Legal Policy & International Affairs Department), Intellectual Property Office of Singapore.
It aims to recommend ways to expand and deepen the expertise of Singapore's IP professionals and practitioners in strategic areas of the IP services sector.
It will also explore how to enhance Singapore's IP infrastructure, including dispute resolution capabilities, to facilitate the protection and registration of IP in global markets, as well as promote excellence in IP research and thought leadership.
The steering committee is calling for feedback and suggestions from IP owners, practitioners and the industry.
You can send your feedback to the Law Ministry by 31 August via email MLAW_Con...@mlaw.gov.sg or by post/fax to:
Intellectual Property Policy Division
Ministry of Law

#08-02, The Treasury
Singapore 179434
Fax: 6332 8842>
The steering committee aims to finalise and submit its recommendations to the government by early 2013. --
