Crashers!!
Lots going on this week at the space, hope you make some of it...
Tonight! (Monday): Radio Mondays 8pm
- Ongoing series, open the the public. Free for members, suggested
donation for non members. Justin usually sends out a note about this
sometime during the day so stay tuned.
Tuesday: Public Open House meeting! 8pm
- We'll build stuff, and take stuff apart. There will likely be
MakerBots 'a printing and cupcakes (vegan) to be eaten. Shit will get
soldered. Come out! Free!
Wednesday: Beyond Stickers: Bondage Barbie and Graffiti Made Easy 8pm
- Members \ 12 (fundraiser, after all) Non-members \ 16
This is a fundraiser even to help us buy our own our Digital Cutting
Tool. It connects to a computer just like a printer, but instead of
printing designs it cuts them with a small blade.
We'll learn a few basic techniques and operations for using your
fonts, graphics, and creativity to opens up a ton of possibilities
with very little effort:
- Adhesive Vinyl Stickers are great for personalizing cars, laptops, and phones.
- Glass Etching for simple home accents
- Any font from your PC can be professionally incorporated into your scrapbook.
- PopUp Greeting Cards for a belated mother's day or early father's day
- Cutout heat transfer sheets for an even more polished TShirts or
grocery bag design
- Stencils are a crucial piece for making posters, t-shirts, body
painting, or airbrushing.
Material will be available toplay with but optionally bring:
exacto knife, cutting board, windows laptop, sd card
other images which we can attempt to produce cutouts from.
glass to etch?
tshirts to paint?
dolls to make vinyl clothes for?
card stock?
Thursday and Friday : TOP SECRET! (just kidding, maybe)
Saturday: noon
- MAKE IN! Have a project you want to work on? Come on out and work on
it. People will be around building stuff.

This Saturday's MAKE IN has a theme!
It's Music Hack Day! Other types of projects are welcome, but some of
us are going to be putting emphasis this weekend on making musical
things -- noise toys, max patches, oscillators, filters, etc. You
could say we'll be bringin' da ruckus. So come on out and have some
fun!
