Cecily Keim (Teach Yourself VISUALLY Crochet
) is going to take the Crafternoon reins for us starting November 14th
from 2 til 4 pm. In case you don’t feel like you have any “appropriate
skills” to come hang out for the crafternoon part, she’ll be running a
tutorial from 1:30-2 on Needle Felting. Yup. It’s that quick. Needle
felted puppy -> brushbot anyone?

players fully immersive virtual worlds rich with realistic
graphics,
physics, 3-Dimensional sound and artificial intelligence. If you want
learn how to build and use an engine yourself, or you simply
have always wondered how these complex games are made, then join speaker Jean-Philippe Steinmetz (caskater.com), of Trilogy Studios, as
he provides an introduction to the game engine. In this talk he will provide an in-depth look at the architecture behind a typical game
engine including its motivations and history by looking at existing technologies as case studies.
Speaker Series: Charlie Visnic, "The B-Roll"

On March 8, 2010, Charlie Visnic set out "do something creative at least once a day and document it" every day for a year. His projects have
ranged from stop-motion animation to slit-scan photography, from building a glockenspiel to remixing songs, from modular synth patches to
processing sketches, and have been documented quite nicely on his blog, http://theb-roll.com. On December 8, Charlie will begin the 9th month
of his project, and he'll be joining us at CRASH Space to talk about his experiences with the project, and show off some of the results.
