If you've been to previous meetings you know we've decided on a
meeting schedule of Tuesday nights, with the once a month big
decisions board meeting on the last Tuesday of each month. This being
the first last Tuesday we've been in the space, tomorrow will be the
first of these big meetings.
We've got a lot to decide, so if you are already a member, planning to
become a member, or considering becoming a member please come out.
This is likely to be the last open board meeting where
members/non-members can discuss issues as beginning in January we'll
be enforcing the "only paid members get votes" thingy.
The biggest issue we'll be addressing is the topic of who is handling
what. Right now there are a lot of people working on the same thing,
and thinking they are the only people doing it. Because of that we
need to start using the wiki full on, for instance:
If you are working on one of those projects, or want to, make sure to
add your name there. Tomorrow night we'll be going through it and
confirming and assigning tasks.
The problem we want to avoid is having someone actively working on
something, and someone else showing up unaware and jumping in messing
up the first persons existing work. Or even someone spending hours on
something one day, and a second person showing up the next day unaware
and doing the same work all over again. Both of these have *almost*
happened already actually.
You are welcome to bring drinks and snacks, but due to our trash
situation please remember to take home anything you bring in.
