Is anyone interested in attending these streetcar meetings? It would
be nice
to have someone at each one identified as being from Merry Oaks.
Also, it
would be nice to get a report back for the neighborhood's info.

Charlotte Streetcar Project Public Meetings
The City of Charlotte's Engineering & Property Management Department
and
Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will host a series of meetings
to
discuss project related material for the Charlotte Streetcar. These
public
meetings will serve as an opportunity for staff to provide a project
update
to the community on what will be accomplished during the Preliminary
Engineering phase of the Streetcar project.
Tuesday, November 17

Thursday, November 19

I'll be at the 17th meeting with bells on. My main concern is that Centeal Ave. will be one travel lane in each direction once the streetcar is in. I'm not so sure that will make things better. I'm all for the streetcar, as long as it works harmoniously with existing infrastructure. A prescence from anyone residing our neighborhood or Merry Oaks...or wherever is a good thing.
