The Pine Mountain Fly-in starts tomorrow so I'm sending a last update with a few more details. Josh Harbick designed the Pine Mountain Fly-in t-shirts this year and they're a takeoff on the vintage Mountain Dew logo. The t-shirts turned out well and although I don't have a photo here's a vintage Mountain Dew t-shirt to give you an idea. The
Pine Mountain Fly-in t-shirts will be available Saturday in the DAR store located in the main cabins at the Flying Farm.
Magadalyn Hasse created a beautiful cake for dessert Saturday evening (photo attached). It's a white cake with chocolate and caramel inside. The top of the cake says, "There's no place like Pine" and features paragliders and cumulus clouds. Magadalyn's business "The Sweet Tooth" makes a desserts and confections for special occasions and her cheesecakes are available at Newport Avenue Market in Bend.
Other companies (pilots) donating food and beverages for the fly-in are Cascade Lakes Brewing (John Van Duzer) and Reser's Fine Foods (Doug Peck). Thanks to all who donated!
The online auction will continue until 9:00 am Saturday morning, then in-person bidding will be available in the DAR store Saturday afternoon and evening until 7:00 pm. Winners can pick up auction items any time after 7:00 pm.
We'll also be having a raffle with over $800 of prizes. Raffle tickets can be purchased Saturday at the DAR store.
