It was way too good looking to go to work today(my plan was at least a half day). The clouds were a bit vertical to begin with but the day was drying and it made for nice clouds with a low base to start but by glass off base was 7,500'. I had my first flight to Ashland and thoroughly enjoyed the day. It was slow climbs if you got low as the ground was wet and at times it was tricky shifting from thermals to flying clouds. I landed at a high school to cheers from the cheerleader camp in progress, hitched into Ashland and enjoyed a hoppy Cadera and a warm pretzel with mustard. A couple rides later (with a little walking) and I was at Long Sword buying my driver a glass of wine.
