Subject: Google Earth

Just noticed yesterday that it looks like the entire Portland area got
updated with photos taken on 8-15-12. They had to be very recent due to
some 'evidence' that I have already found. Halloween stuff mostly.

Google Earth = Time sink = Time Saver too. Works both ways.

The Google Street View car must have been by too; our pictures have been
updated at both the house on the hill, and our rental in downtown Forest
Grove. Looks like I'd just mowed and trimmed, so it's looking pretty nice
in the photos. The previous ones were taken when it was in foreclosure
and for sale, and the photo quality was much lower. These new ones are
really sharp! The day they came by it was beautiful and sunny, and everything
was green and blooming. On the day the photo car went by our rental house
it was overcast, but it still looks pretty good.

The overhead view is from a little later in the summer; I see that the
lawn was browning a bit in the spot where I had a mis-aimed sprinkler.
I can see the dogs snoozing on the back porch too, and even make out
the water dishes...which says the resolution is on the order of six inches.

If we all would like our 15 minutes of fame I'd suggest everyone, next time you see the Google car drive by, -moon it!
