Cliffside Saturday Report

About six or seven pilots arrived at Cliffside starting around 1:00, three flew around then (including Sarge with a short but active tandem and Jon from the other launch) but the wind was varied from 16 or 18 to stone dead from nearly every direction except west... so we all sat around until after 3:45 or so until it made up its mind just a little.

 

It smoothed out a bit but stayed windy, and we all got in the air, finding abundant lift and pronounced it a modified glass off. It was warm but with all the wind it was a extremely nice day, no overheating.

 

Folks went over the ridge, behind and back, to the river and pretty much everywhere.

 

A good time was had by all who had the patience to wait for it.
