We're going to be putting on a seminar for everyone to learn some good techniques and practice doing PLF's sometime in the near future.Tom Nosack and Dave Cantrell are both veteran skydivers who will be volunteering to instruct everyone & Tom's gotten permission from the owner of a skydive center in Eagle Creek (out kinda near Estacada) to use the pea-gravel pit for practice - it's the safest and softest practice medium to use for doing this.
Club Prez Alan Flemming has suggested we do this on a Tuesday evening sometime & I'd like to ask everyone if this will work for them, so please contact me right away if that's ok with you.
Training to do a proper PLF is a very good thing for safety reasons and practicing the routine a number of times will get your muscle memory ready to do it if and when the time comes. We can always use refresher courses and practice on something as important as this.
There will be no fee for this seminar, but just remember that it would be a good thing to bring gloves & kneepads as well as your helmet and flying harness.
Contact me if you have any questions.
