What SW do people use to edit the Go Pro files?  I just want to be able to cut the file sizes down by editing out what is not needed.

On a PC there is Windows Live Movie Maker for free. The down side to WLMM
is that you lose so much video quality that the HD GoPro gives. I just got
my hands on Premier Pro (CS4), which is 100x better.

i've been using a program called mpeg streamclip (free, windows and mac) to
convert gopro files into more usable formats.  it has a trim function,
pretty simple to use:

Mark,

I have used Windows Movie maker.  It's easy.  I bought a copy of Adobe
elements 10 but have not used it yet for anything elaborate. The Adobe
programs have been top rated in a lot of reviews.  GoPro also provides some
free editing software on their website. You might want to look at that.
Making a good video takes a fair amount of time no matter what software you
use.  I think that's why I use the camera to take pictures more than do
video.
