South launch and the North launch trail have been cleared! Thanks to Ryan,
Collin, Mark, Craig, and Greg for showing up and helping out! There are
still two small trees down slope on South Launch that we would like remove
for an added measure of safety but we are awaiting approval from Tim before
we fall them... Stay tuned...
If anyone has photos of the cleared launch please post them on this thread.
I will try to post some before and after webcam pics I captured on my phone
web browser, but they don't really do our work justice!

I don't think there was an once of energy left to fly in any of us after
the work was done.... The North side would have worked early on in the day
but it was cranking pretty hard after noonish.
Can't wait for a nice South day to go try out the newly improved launch!

Colin and I went up to Yaquina today to grab a few 'after' photos of both
sites. They're attached, along with two pic of the south launch before we
got to work. Sorry about the poor angles, I was eager to get to the power
tools. Despite a small number of left over boughs, sticks, and stubble I
think we were able to accomplish a lot in a short period. Thanks again
Travis for organizing the event and everyone who was able to help make it
happen. Good humans.
While up there I noticed that the wind was blowing south, around 8mph
directly up launch. :) The long and steady cycles made for a fun extended
sledder.
Cheers,
Ryan\
