Though this is a little unusual, I want to say farewell to all fellow
pilots I have gotten the pleasure of knowing since I moved to Oregon two
years ago. I especially wanted to give shout outs to Bill Briskey and Dave
Blizzard, two individuals that spent time mentoring me to become a better
pilot. I was really lucky to end up in Oregon, where the flying is really
phenomenal. From the coast, to Woodrat, to Pine Mountain, I really could
not have imagined better conditions for an emerging intermediate pilot.
As I write this, I am on my way moving to the Big Island of Hawaii. I've
contacted a few locals about flying opportunities, but haven't heard
anything too solid about what lays in wait. If anyone knows someone in the
flying community out there, I would sure use that contact information. If
any of you find your way out there, be sure to look me up, my email and
cell won't be changing. I'll be living on the south side of the island,
near Volcano.
There's a chance I'll be returning to Oregon in a year or two's time. If
that happens, you will see me in the air again.
Best wishes and farewell,
Stan
