The B/C 3 Descent Technique by Niviuk

An interesting descent technique, recommended from the Niviuk team.

I have not tried it yet, but will soon.  The rate of descent may be the same or even a little faster but it sounds like the turbulence is less while maintaining a faster airspeed compared to the traditional big ears technique.
