Last week, we actually had two days in a row where Area B worked. It really shouldn't have, but with these odd weather patterns, seems no rule will go unbroken. ;-) The second day, we were able to fly the full length of the dune (5-6 miles), almost at will.
This week, we have similar predictions, and expect that maybe Area B might just work. I don't really think sites like Oceanside will work well, but now that I said that, it will be great. Keep an eye on the 'springtime' sites for the next couple days. Might be interesting.

Keep in mind that the actual direction on the beach seems to routinely be about 30-35 degrees clockwise from the actual reports. So, SW winds are closer to WSW than you might expect.
I'll try to get word out if it's looking good. Feel free to give a ring if conditions are looking encouraging.
Interesting trivia: Today we were towing into SSW 7 at the surface, doing a quick turn around at about 200' and entering into a NNW wind at 15 mph by 250-300' up. At 1200', we were in a solid NE and significantly warmer temps than on the beach (15+ degrees?). Fun to be able to play with the atmosphere layers like that.

I bought it, fenced it and will be pasturing fainting goats. Please don't fly too close and startled them.
Rob Stevens reported Neahkanie perfect strength and direction but fogged over.

No joy today. Stayed too South up here and too light.
