As mentioned at the recent CPC meeting we have secured permission to hold a Parachute Landing Fall clinic at the Eagle Creek Skydive Center for this coming Tuesday the 14th at 7 pm.

The purpose of having this get-together is to let everyone who attends get some training and practice in the technique of landing in a PLF when the time comes that it will be needed.  The Eagle Creek Skydive Center is a very good venue to hold this seminar as they have a very nice pea gravel pit that we can practice in, -in relative safety ( granted, there might be a few bruises and sore muscles that may arise! )

It will be held at 7 pm, but plan to get there early, -say, 6:30 or so.  Bring a helmet, some gloves and your harness that you fly in (or an old harness that would give you some practice in that you wouldn't mind scuffing up a bit.)  Two local pilots with lots of experience in skydiving & doing PLF's, -Tom Nosack and Dave Cantrell, will be running the show. (-thanks guys!)

The location is at 29388 SE Heiple rd, near Eagle Creek, OR 97022 - which is just off Hwy 211/224 near Estacada.

It might also be possible, -weather permitting, to get in a Tandem skydive to top off the evening!

Everyone should attend, as it will give you additional training and practice in doing something which may help you avoid injury, should the need arise someday.

Please RSVP to me so we can let them know how many to expect.

Just to be clear, I helped set it up, may assist Dave, but he is the lead in this.

Dave is competent, trustworthy and has a nice smile. He will do a superb job.

I will have bandaids and medicinals.

I'm hoping to get some airtime at the clinic.  I'll probably end up with a lot of short flights though.  But the turnaround time should be short.

Today is the best day of the week to conduct a PLF clinic because the weather is low 80's.  The rest of the week has low 90deg temps./

If you didn't get the itinerary here is an updated one.  It includes "don't for get to breath.  I know I know, it is one of those things one can forget to do when having a good time.

At this end of this clinic you should have the skill to not only execute a PLF properly but also win a contest conducting a PLF off the bar !!

See ya at the clinic.
