Cliffside Plans

The current plan is for Mark Sansonze + me to meet Doug Jackson at Troutdale around 11.15. Mike Steed and Paula will probably be there too.

Today was an unusual day when a decent forecast did not result in soaring at Cliffside. Far too weak and pretty cross from the N. It was scenic with lots of snow and clouds. Base was generally between 700-1500 over launch, with occasional gaps revealing cranes + half assembled windmills on the ridge formerly known as 'the towers'. To the S there was more wind (judging by the windmills) and less clouds.

A reasonable turnout (Mark S, Joe S, Kelly, Todd, Shannon, 2 Norwegians, Paula, Mike S, Tom Huff, Doug J, plus the people I missed out) amused themselves either by taking lots of little flights + top landing or taking a long flight down to the river or (in the case of the Norwegians) both. Cleo (my dog) enjoyed the snow and meeting all the new people.
