Hello,
I am testing the Zip task.
It Works very well for both zip and unzip provided you use a local
drive, a unc or full network path does not always work well, specially
when un-zipping.
So for speed and stability, I set up the application to move the zip
file to a local folder, unzip, update the file, zip it again and move
it back to the SharePoint portal where it belongs.
I zip it using zip Compress option "Normal"
I have asked a colleague to try one of these files.
When he tries to open the file from the portal he get the following
error:
"Skipping testfile.xls" This file is not in the standard zip 2.0
format. Please see http://winzip.com/zip20htm for more information.
I did not have this issue because I run Winzip 9 SR1 on my dev
machine.
Can I set the Compression option level to something compatible with
most of my colleagues computers?
Thanks
Philippe

Philippe,

We have recently fixed an issue where Zip task always created Zip 64
archives, even when not needed (for archives less than 4GB). Please
download and install SSIS+ 1.2 SR-1 (http://www.cozyroc.com) and I
hope your issue will be resolved. Please contact us if you still
encounter a problem.

Regards,
Ivan
