Hi Ivan,

We have CRM 2011 On Premise – but there doesn’t seem to be any option for that in the connection manager. If we type in our On Premise server then SSIS locks up entirely. Can you tell me what option we should be using for this situation?

Regards

Mark

Hi Ivan,

It was SSIS+ Ultimate so we will go ahead with uninstall and reinstall.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

What kind of license did you purchase? If you are SSIS+ Ultimate Subscription user, you can use any version of the software. The proper procedure is to always uninstall the current version, before installing another version.

Ivan

Are there any instructions for upgrading from 1.5 to 1.6? Do we have to uninstall 1.5 first and will the licensing then need to be re-applied?

Many thanks

PS Might this be because we don’t have HTTPS enabled on our On-Premise CRM server? The error that comes back from our server is:

TITLE: COZYROC SSIS+

------------------------------

Failed to download from 'https://xxxxx/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc?wsdl=wsdl1'. (CozyRoc.Dynamics)

------------------------------

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Unable to connect to the remote server (System)

------------------------------

A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 192.168.nn.nnn:443 (System)

Where xxxxx is our server name and nn its IP address. The web service responds fine on HTTP.

Hi Mark,

If you want to use CRM 2011 Edition web services on your On Premise server, then you have to setup ADFS (federation) authentication on your system. Otherwise you have to use CRM 4 Edition web services - > Premise.

Ivan

Hi Mark,

A small update on this topic. We have included support for ActiveDirectory authentication for CRM 2011 web services in SSIS+ 1.6 SR-1. Both HTTP and HTTPS connections are supported.

Regards,
Ivan
