In the latest version of the beta package, the CRM 2011 On-Premise, but not Federated, authentication type was removed from the list.
Am I missing something or is that the way it's going to be going forward? It lets me set up the connection to the 4.0 Premise location, but doesn't let me do anything with destinations throwing a COM error.
The On-Premise option is available in the CRM 4.0 edition as you have discovered. It was never included in the CRM 2011 edition to begin with. We have decided CRM 2011 is not that important for customers running CRM on-premises. However if you are able to provide a proof there is a need for this option in On-Premise deployment, we may reconsider.
