I am playing with YUI and the Prototype Window Class http://prototype-window.xilinus.com/
Who has the best widget?. I think Timmy Crawford had one he demo'd at
a COWPU meeting and he described it as YUI on steroids. What was the
name of that lib?
I don't mind paying a couple hundred bucks for something that is worth
the money.
YUI is good and free and has a lot (too many) of tools but it seems a
bit heavy. PWC hasn't been worked on in 2 years and the skins seem
hokey, plus it is only a window, but it is light weight (I think).
I want to pick the best to invest my time in.

Are we planning a meeting soon. I have been hammered and missed, oh
say the last year, but I would love to have a hackfest on MERB.

Merry Christmas and "Hoppy" New Year!

Hey TW-
My demo was using ExtJS (http://www.extjs.com).

Another more light-weight library is to grab jQuery and use jQuery UI
and associated plugins to get the widgets you are looking for. There
is a great rails plugin for using the jQuery Grid with Rails too

We'd love to have a meeting, just need someone with a subject that
wants to speak!

Qooxdoo just went to version 1.0 and looks nice.

And Google recently released their library. Good enough to build the Google apps.

I love jQuery, but I'm not thrilled with the jQueryUI widgets (there are only six of them, and they are uncool). No problem...there are a zillion jQuery plugins that aren't part of jQueryUI.
