Nice project! Coliving and Coworking in a great place... It seems like a place I should visit!

I have seen links to your web in different social networks and posted by different people, so I think your promotion is good. Maybe you could contact other coworking spaces and tell them directly about the project. It seems to me that this is the perfect space for a working holiday, and attracting coworkers from other spaces could be a good idea. 

Are you going to add your space to the coworking visa program?

As we are trying to run a concept that is not very common, I am always glad when I hear people like the idea and want to come to visit us.

As you wrote, we are trying to build a community on social network and it looks that it works well.

I like your idea of coworking centers cooperation and I will try to directly approach some of them. Especially in cities with direct Ryanair flights to Gran Canaria ;o) - http://www.thesurfoffice.com/p/fly-to-surf-office-by-ryanair.html.

We are thinking to add Surf Office to visa program, which I think is a great idea.

However I was discussing the concept with other coworking owners and I get a feedback that it is not working well?

Can you tell me bit more about the VISA program in practice?

Hi Michal, 

Oh, we need to talk with people at Ryanair and force them to start a daily flight Berlin-Gran Canaria :). 

Regarding the Coworking Visa, the program is in place, but we didn't do a great job in the past making it public and encouraging people to use it. Some coworkers travel, some don't move from their spaces at all. I do travel and usually work from spaces that are either Cobot customers or people I have talked with in conferences and so on. If I ever go to a city where I don't know anyone, I would use the Visa Program.

Adding yourself to the list costs nothing, and it may be a good way to attract people from other countries - 3 free days sound like a great excuse to go to Gran Canaria for a couple of weeks. 

Michal, are you czech or from around? How did you end up in Canary Islands? And what linked you to the coworking world before this great surf coworking idea?

;o) somebody definitively has to talk to Ryanair. We used to have a direct flight from Bratislava to GC last year, but unfortunately it was canceled.

Thanx for your comment on Coworking Visa program, I will create an account and add The Surf Office.

As for your question, I am Slovak so yes its from around. Last 6 years we are organizing surf session for people who want to learn surfing in France, Spain, Portugal and Gran Canaria. As a follow up we came with an idea to connect surf lifestyle with coworking and allow people to focus on their work/life balance.

Did you already worked in some cowork places which focus more on work-vacation or work-life balance?

I will appreciate any sugestion.

Sorry for the radio silence - I've been travelling in Spain and Portugal and didn't check my internet-me as often.

Regarding your question, I don't know of any specific programs or spaces focused on working holidays - but I can think of some people that would be happy to spend some days working in the sun. Did you talk with the guys at Deskmag? Maybe this is a topic for a survey or blog post ;).

Hi Cristina,

you ever tried surfing when you traveled Spain and Portugal? There are also great conditions but not all year round. That is also an advantage of Gran Canaria, there is a temperature 22-28 degrees all year round.

I tried to contact people from Deskmag with an idea of an article, but unfortunately I did not received any response.
