Hi Ali,

I'd love to meet up while you're in town!

I'd normally take this off-list so as to relieve people's inboxes, but it's probably worthwhile to update everyone with my take on the breakdown of coworking in NYC as it stands today:

Jelly
NYC's most active coworking community; meets just about every Friday in someone's living room or workspace. Attendance ranges from 15-30 people.

Williamsburg Coworking at The Change You Want To See Gallery

A full-time coworking space and arts collective in Williamsburg Brooklyn (I'm working from there right now!). A tight community of freelancers and entrepreneurs.

CooperBricolage at Gramstand

Gramstand's an awesome cafe in the East Village (14th & Avenue A) that has free wifi and a great work environment. CooBric is a community layered on top; people are periodically there throughout the week to work and chat and occasionally host events.

SparkSpace

An about-to-open "startup coworking" facility in the Flatiron District. It's in the process of opening up, and is accepting applications. Invite only and full-timers only.

New Work City

My main project - working to establish an open, community-driven coworking space in Manhattan. Still in the works :-)

There are several other flexible workplaces as well, but this is a good overview of the coworking-focused efforts as they exist today.

Looking forward to meeting up with you! Keep me posted on your plans.

Best,

I don't know if you knew this, but there is a NAKED MAN in your space! ;) Cool that you have sketching classes!

Can't wait to visit sometime. If you want to blog about this on the coworking.info blog, just tell me and I'll set you up as an author.

Hey Tony,

Thanks for the note... I think I've already posted us on the map. I hope it shows up :) Please give us a call whenever you're around!

You're in NY? Eduardo (the other founder) and I are heading up there August 14. We would love to see some of the spaces up there... any suggestions??

Thanks again...
Ali

Hi there,

My name is Ali Wadsworth, and we recently opened a coworking facility
in Miami's Wynwood Arts District. Brikolodge is a loft unit in a live-
work building, home to design shops, galleries and some of the best
views of downtown from the roof-top pool. We have been hosting
RefreshMiami meetups since our inception and we have recently opened
our doors to The Figure Network - a local artist who conducts weekend
workshops on figure drawing and has also posted some of his artwork
around the facility.

We are always looking for more ways to expand our community. If any of
you are ever in the Miami area, please stop by and visit :) Check out
our website: www.brikolodge.org.

Thanks and hope to see you coworking soon!
