Although it appears that there have not been any recent posts in
Toronto about the concept, I cannot believe that the interest has
died. Perhaps it is just that people have grown tired of waiting for
another facility. We have a creative space in the South West Section
of Toronto (M8W 1M8) that would definitely qualify as coworking
space...former employee of the indoor playground rates us as such. Pay
our website a visit at www.3301.ca or call for further details:

the interest has definitely not died!

you seem to be more along the lines of executive office space, rather
than a coworking facility. glad to know there is another option for
executive space in town, though.

Rachel thanks for the interest. I think you have to see the space in
order to see that it coworking space. It is a larger facility with
room for up to 40 occupants per floor. It is exactly because of this
that we had to label as an executive centre, it also is a centre of
business excellece. Regardless of which part of the centre you might
be interested in, we encourage a spirit of cooperation, networking,
and an attempt to have a varied selection of expertise within the
centre to be utilized by it's members. You can follow us on Twitter
(3301ca) but I would encourage you to come and pay us a visit and see
whether you or your organization woul be a good fit in the centre: our
address is 3301 lake shore blvd, Toronto (m8w 1m8)

Hi there,

I am very interested in the concept and have been through my share of
executive centres myself.

What's required to get set up?

Hello northstar, setting up is quite easy: you would come in and tour
the facility, fill out a questionaire and see whether there would be a
good fit. To paint with a broad brush, unlike creative types many
professionals have reservations about working in an open concept
environment, yet there is clear benefit for both. Unlike most
coworking Centres we do not have desks around a room, what we do
have is spacious 8ft by 8ft cubicles in a very large room, thus
allowing for interaction while ensuring for privacy. We have other
spaces where you can i
sit face to face, lounge areas, kitchenette, even boardrooms. The key
is to have a good feel about the centre, that is why I would encourage
you to visit our website, and then come down and visit the facility.
You will be quite welcome, and we are trying to assemble a diverse as
possible group in order to be able to network and have many go to
people in the centre with your various needs. Who knows, perhaps we
will be able to have opportunities to barter our services with others
at the centre: it certainly would not hurt to have access to 10s to
100s of others at the centre and their respective client lists. Look
forward to meeting with you. Leo
