I'm glad to inform you that a new coworking space was born last month in Bordeaux : Coolworking.

 

We have :

• 22 desktops (wifi, printer, scanner, phone, etc.)
• 3 meeting rooms (wifi, whiteboard, projector, etc.)
• 1 lounge (TV, video games, coffee, etc.).

Hi Joel,

I'm sorry i didn't talk about the project or about me more in my post.

So I'm Fabrice Jeannet, former member of the french national fencing team (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabrice_Jeannet).

I worked as a software engineer and project manager for 4 years before i created this coworking space.

The plan was to create a space where people would love to go working in thanks to a nice design and a good atmosphere.

The reason why i posted on the group is to make Coolworking known internationally. I'd be glad to welcome coolworkers from outside of France as well !

welcome !

apparently judging by the website you already had some events there (code retreats, startup week ends, etc ...)

how long have you been open ?

what's the use rate of your space and do you have some stats about the kind of users you have ?

what kind of structure did you put in place to operate the space ? (company, non profit association, ...)

I'm one of the founders of Tau, a coworking space located in Toulouse.

answers to my questions at Tau :

we have about 10 regular users, with 7 permanent ones. we have mostly developers (4 / 7) but also people from web design, translation and news. Age tends to be around 30. Tau is a non profit org mostly because it was simpler to setup, but it might not be the wisest choice in the long run.
