Loose cubes is closing

Hi,

I just found out Loose Cubes is closing, and I'm sad to hear that. It's been such a value to our coworking space and I'm sure many other coworking spaces.

Does anyone know why they are closing?

Is there a way to set forth the initiative that Loose Cubes has started?

Loosecubes just announced they are shutting down this Friday. This is upsetting news because I liked the direction that Loosecubes was taking shape with more detailed member and coworking space profiles that added helpful context to both sides. I know the coworking members here enjoyed getting an email describing the person that was visiting us for that day and often could easily start a conversation with them.

Did they have a long ways to go? Yes, but they were working hard to make it happen and it was nice to have a team dedicated to being more than just a space directory and were strong advocates of the coworking movement. The coworking movement lost a voice and a tool, but many others are working on brining coworking to the masses with new tools and business models. Let's learn from this and keep making better tools that lead to stronger communities around the world.

Good luck on your new ventures Anna, Campbell, and the entire Loosecubes teams.

I will always have a soft spot for the Loosecubes crew. Their infectious enthusiasm has had no small impact on the coworking movement.

Campbell, Anna, Anthony: if there is anything we can ever do to repay what you've done for the coworking community, please say so. Whatever amazing projects you all launch next, I will be your first and biggest fan!

:( That makes me sad. I heard about them right before I left NYC and thought it was a great idea.

It would be great if the idea could keep going. I liked the concept.

Indeed Enrico! Incredible week of changes, I'm pleased to share that we have Cospace.co up to almost 1000 spaces now so if we're still missing yours, please message me. We're seeing a particular need for spaces that have offices that complement the coworking; an increasing number of small businesses seem done with office leases and are turning to collaborative spaces to not just office but connect.
