Hi Elizabeth -- I've done lots of research and due diligence on the viability of coworking in Westchester --- and the 'burbs surrounding NYC.  Once you specialize, you limit your universe of members -- and if you want to develop a round-the-clock coworking venture in the 'burbs -- you'll have excess capacity issues, IMHO.  If you haven't already you need to connect with Jen Ross --the founder/owner of W@tercooler in Tarrytown -- www.watercoolerhub.com.  She knows more about the viability of coworking in the 'burbs than anyone I know.  And W@tercooler is a great one in Westchester.

Hello All,

I'm in the beginning stages of opening a coworking space for the artists, crafters and creatives of Westchester, NY. A crafter myself, I've always wanted a place to spread out, make a mess, take a class and build a community. While the trend has been growing in NYC we are lacking a space like this north of the city.
I'd love to get feedback from those living in Westchester who would be interested in a place like this. I'd also love to get feedback from other who have started or know of a coworking space geared towards artists and crafters.
Any and all advice is much appreciated!!
