Hey everyone,

On behalf of all the coworking spaces in Texas, I'd like to welcome
everyone to this years Coworking Meetup during SXSW. In years past, we
have used the lovely San Jose Hotel, but this year, we'll be having it
at the newly opened Texas Coworking just blocks away from the Austin
Convention Center.

We're doing it a bit earlier than years past, so we don't take away
from the party atmosphere that happens later in the night. That said,
here's the skinny:

Date: March 13th, 2010
Time: 6PM - 8PM
Location: 200 E. 6th Street, 3rd Floor -- Austin, TX

If anyone has any questions, let me know. I'll respond on/off list.

While I don't know if I'll be at SXSW this year, but Austin is an easy enough drive from Dallas that Company|Dallas should be able to represent.

I won't be making it down this year.  I really just came down the past two years to hang out with all the coworking people.  Dropping $500 on the conference didn't feel worth it last year.  My goal is to save my pennies so I can make more trips to visit folks in their natural coworking habitats.  I am getting a little jealous and sad I'll miss this meetup though.  Susan will be there to represent so tie one on for me!

I didn't realize people actually bought passes to SXSW. There's so
much going on outside the actual event proper that I didn't think most
of the folks on this list ever bought passes.

True that you don't always need a pass, but many of the parties actually require one.

Plus the content of the sessions and the fantastic keynotes is worth
the trip alone in my opinion.

I'm out, too. Too much going on here, and like Jacob, I am focusing
on saving my pennies
to trips to the many spaces out there...2010 will have quite a bit of
travel for me and I look
forward to meeting people in person in their spaces.

Have a great time at SXSW

Changes of plans on another trip have me reconsidering SXSW this year.
Anyone going there as a group who might have an "over stock" of rooms
following cancellations?

I know there are multiple sites for events info on SXSW but is there one main roster besides this thread that we can look at to prep for our Texas Hosts? It would be interesting for me to know who all to look for besides the list on this thread...on an on going basis.. sorry I am not that much of a tech wiz to just develop it and post.

And I will be attending...

Hi everyone,

This is going to be my first SXSW. Really looking forward to the
opportunity to meet members of the greater coworking community and
share what we've learnt at The Skiff (http://theskiff.org) in
Brighton, UK over the last 18 months.
