Hi,
I'm glad to inform you that a new coworking space was born last month in
Bordeaux : Coolworking.
I'm sorry i didn't talk about the project or about me more in my post.
So I'm Fabrice Jeannet, former member of the french national fencing team (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabrice_Jeannet).
I worked as a software engineer and project manager for 4 years before i created this coworking space.
The plan was to create a space where people would love to go working in thanks to a nice design and a good atmosphere.
The reason why i posted on the group is to make Coolworking known internationally. I'd be glad to welcome coolworkers from outside of France as well !

retreats, startup week ends, etc ...)
how long have you been open ?
what's the use rate of your space and do you have some stats about the kind
of users you have ?
what kind of structure did you put in place to operate the space ?
(company, non profit association, ...)
I'm one of the founders of Tau, a coworking space located in Toulouse.
answers to my questions at Tau :
we have about 10 regular users, with 7 permanent ones. we have mostly
developers (4 / 7) but also people from web design, translation and news.
Age tends to be around 30. Tau is a non profit org mostly because it was
simpler to setup, but it might not be the wisest choice in the long run.

We started on the 19th of November.
We've already hosted the TEDx Bordeaux livecast, the Lean Startup Conference livecast and the Global Day of Coderetreat.
Our next event is the SCRUM wine on the 16th of January.
Until the 19th of December, up to 5 days were offered for free to everybody for discovering Coolworking.
Approximatively 20 persons came to work :
- 1 out of 20 has subscribed a full-time annual fee
- 2 out of 20 have subscribed a half-time monthly fee - 1 out of 20 have subscribed a full-time monthly fee
- 3 out of 20 took books of 10 half-days - The others have only consumed their days
Among those 20 personnes, 2 are web designers (2d), 1 is designer (3d), at least 8 are developpers (java, ruby, php), 2 or 3 are bloggers, some run their own business (web sites, VOIP company, etc.)
The company is a SARL and I have two partners.
The average age is about 30 i think.
