Hey All,

Sunday I had the opportunity to visit the new and improved IndyHall64 in their new location in Philadelphia.

For those of you who are not aware, IndyHall was one of the first coworking facilities to open in the country, and its founders, Alex Hillman and Geoff DiMasi have been huge inspirations for coworking communities all around the world.

With a population roughly twice that of Baltimore's and over a year head start on us, I have always looked to IndyHall as a indicator of what the future of coworking would likely be in our area.

IndyHall now has about 47 desks, a full kitchen, some pets, a nice conference area, and is generally an awesome place for the tech/arts world to flourish.

Alex has graciously invited us to come to IndyHall, see what they have done and what they are working on, meet members of their community, and hang out and talk at a Friday afternoon happy hour.

Many of you have expressed interest in coordinating a trip to Philadelphia and to IndyHall, and so I figured we'd just put it together.

So, please sign up below if you can come, and spread the word to others who you think might like to join in!

Best,
Dave

I'm interested in going, but would have to leave around 3 PM.  I can drive, and have room for a few passengers, with the caveat that I'll be leaving early.

Steve -- there are a bunch of drivers already but you can make that schedule with someone. Go ahead and sign up!

I am signed up. How do I find out about who is a driver?

OK folks, looks like we're good to go for our trip to Philadelphia on
Friday.

Several folks are signed up as drivers and a few as passengers, so I
am sure we have sufficient number of vehicles to accommodate
everyone's needs.

They are hosting "Beercamp Philly" on Friday afternoon and we're
invited to that. I think some people are planning to head back in the
late afternoon, others planning to go back Saturday night, after a day
at Barcamp Philly.

If you have not already signed up, can you please do so here today?

Once we have a firm idea of who's going we can sort out who is driving
with whom.

If you are able, I *strongly* encourage you to take part in this.
IndyHall is a great example for us here and this will also be an
opportunity for us to better get to know one another!

Best,
Dave

I have a client deadline that got pushed up and I have to un-RSVP. Tried to it on Eventbrite but that was full of fail. They don't let you.

Sorry for the late notice but paying work has to take priority. Please take some pictures and have a great time.

I'm excited to cowork on paying projects while at IndyHall on Friday!
Who else is definitely going?

I'm going to be leaving from my home in Mt. Washington, and picking up Alan in White Marsh.  I'll be leaving Philly a little before 2 (have to be back home at 4).  I can take one or two more people, if leaving from up north or White Marsh is more convenient for anyone.  Could pick someone up at the Mt. Washington Light Rail also, if need be.

I'm planning on being at IndyHall until Friday evening. I have a small
car, can take one passenger, or can ride with someone - I'm near 95 in
South Baltimore.

I'm still planning to join.

I signed up as a passenger, but can probably drive if needed.

Trying to arrange my schedule to stay through Saturday, but not sure
about that yet.

Best,
- Ben

Hey folks,

I sent this earlier but Google Groups seems to have eaten it.

Since there are several folks that can't make tomorrow's trip it would
be my preference to postpone our trip to a later date that more people
can participate in. We can use something like Doodle to pick a good
date.

Also with everything going on in Philadelphia tomorrow and suboptimal
weather it seems like tomorrow is going to be rather stressful.

If there are folks who still want to proceed, I would say do it, but I
really would prefer to organize a bigger trip. It is worth it and if
we do another date we can get more time with Alex and Geoff and
everybody else.

Thoughts?

That sounds like a good plan. I really want to go and will have good
Friday down time in Dec. How is everyone for that plan?

Ok, folks - the consensus seems to be to delay the trip til a date
when more people can participate. Obviously anyone who wants to go
tomorrow can, but it seems like more people can go later. I will throw
out some dates over the next few weeks with a goal to get 10+ people
in on the trip.

Thanks for understanding and sorry for the late change of plans.

Best,
Dave
