Yes there is a way to remove it, but it is rather tedious and you need
to have some technical knowledge. It involves hosting it yourself
(which is allowed under certain conditions) and making a few
modifications. Unfortunately it's not that straightforward and it's a

Hi Otto,
Oh my....I was looking at the "24 days" thinking that was inaccurate.
However, to get the total number of days *remaining* until January 31, 2009,
I had to select the preference "Total per time unit", which I did not
previously have.

Hi Wendy,

I embarrassed to say that the last changed introduced a new bug in
remainder mode when showing months and counting down to a 31st date
while being in a month shorter than 31 days, which caused it to show 1
day less. But in total mode all was correct as was the month total in
remainder mode. I don't know why you think 4 months is not correct, so

I must re-iterate how much I appreciate your quick attention and dedication
to making the countdown clock truly a great feature.
I hope you don't mind my follow-up....because I'm still experiencing issues
with the accuracy of the clock. For a countdown to the same date (January

Hi Wendy,

This was an extremely interesting bug, that only occurred in months
shorter that 31 days (like September), when counting down to a 31st
date. The error was only in the month count, not in days, hours,
etc...

But it's fixed now and the fix is live. Feel free to try it and let me
know if it now works for you. Do forget to reload (ctrl-R in Firefox)

Thanks for reporting this problem, I have investigated and found that
when the target date is the 31st it seems to miss one month in the
total. Strangely enough it only occurs for dates that are the 31st,
which is why this error it wasn't easily found.

Hard to say anything without an example. Do you have a URL of where

As far as I know there is no problem with the clock rendering in
Firefox, and well I use Firefox as my default browser.

Hello I have installed this script on my website but it is not working
on Firefox which I find very odd... all I get in the frame is a google
ad... it works fine on IE...please help... it worked fine when I
tested it locally but when I put it up live this ad appeared.

Thanks Julian,

The problem is that different fonts have different sizes, so a larger
font may not fit nicely (and a small font may leave too much empty
space). I have been trying to look for an easy solution, but without
success until now. So indeed another approach is to handle a limited
set fonts (the set you've suggested would be a good starting point).
