Hi, I'm currently looking into exposing a couchapp to automated clients and I would like to use OAuth so that the clients can cleanly operate in the name of a given user. Do I see it correctly that there is still no support for 3-legged OAuth? Is there a way to combine token/tokenSecret-pairs from _users with configured consumer/consumerSecret-pairs from local.ini? Is anyone really using OAuth with CouchDB and dynamic (run-time) configuration?... more »

Hi, me again. I'm trying to run a decently complex deployment scenario with CouchDB (across multiple data centers, load balanced) so it would be kind of important that changes in access rights propagate correctly between hosts (and all of them are trusted). What would be the proper way of doing this? It looks like [link] is pretty much dead. I'm thinking about creating a "magic id"-document (e.g. versioned_security) that I protect via my design document, combined with a cron pushing whatever the content of that doc is to _security every couple of minutes. Is there any better way? Should I rather use BigCouch for something like this?... more »

how to wake up error replication

I have a notebook on which there is a couchdb instance. I have a continuous
replication document in the _replicator database.
Let's suppose I suspend my notebook and wake it up in a different network
where there is no network connection. The replication document switches its
state to error.

tracking changes - how to check what was deleted?

g'day
so i have multiple (3) kinds of documents (say with fields .type=..) in
same database. And i listen to changes feed, and according to type,
show the different kinds of docs in 3 different windows.
if some doc was deleted, how can i guess what .type it had ?
