This is the mailing list for an O’Reilly Media book called Relax with CouchDB.

CouchDB is a free software, distributed, fault-tolerant and schema-free document-oriented database designed for extreme scalability. It provides a simple HTTP JSON API, powerful MapReduce queries and incremental, bidirectional replication with conflict detection and resolution. 

The book is designed to gently guide you through using CouchDB with clear but practical scenarios. We progressively showcase key features, starting with simple document CRUD, working through to advanced MapReduce, and culminate with deployment tuning for performance and reliability.
