An accomplished broadcaster Vuyo brightened many mornings through television as well as radio. For decades, Vuyo Mbuli has been a constant presence in South African homes, tackling various issues of national importance with wit, charm, respect and an all-embracing and inclusive manner.
It was this ability to converse with and entertain all types of people that also made Mr. Mbuli a sought after public speaker and master of ceremonies, jobs he would carry out with flair.
An outspoken linguist who took pride in celebrating the diversity of South Africa and its people, Vuyo Mbuli brightened many a day with his colourful commentary and joyful eloquence.
Mr. Mbuli was a permanent feature in and an ardent promoter of the South African dialogue, tirelessly working to ensure that South Africans talk and ultimately understand one another on various issues that form part of our national discourse.
Vuyo Mbuli`s death is a loss to the broadcasting community, particularly the South African Broadcasting Corporation, and the country as a whole.
As we remember him, it is one of his favourite phrases that today rings true - "mintiro ya bula bula" - your work speaks for you. Statement on the passing away of Vuyo Mbuli-SACP
The SACP has received with shock and sadness the news of the sudden passing away of Mr. Vuyo Mbuli. At the time of his passing away he was an anchor for Morning Live and presented a talk show on Safm.
Death has robbed our country of an experience broadcaster with a career that had spanned close to twenty years.
His professionalism will be dearly missed. All those who have interacted with Mr Mbuli can attest to his affability and humility.
Vuyo was well known for phrases such as "sharp sharp" which became his official signing off line on Morning Live and the famous "Andile knows weather" when introducing the weather report slot.
He used to keep his team laughing by always remarking about the shots the SABC used for the traffic update, later on the graphics where to be changed, clearly informed by his joke.
The SACP sends its condolences to the family, friends and relatives and to colleagues at Morning Live, Safm and the media industry broadly.

Vuyo shall be dearly missed for his excellence in dignifying journalism in an era where journalism seem to have adopted an antagonistic stance against the very course of rebuilding the broken walls of our society that has not healed form the injustices of the past that kept it weak in all possible ways not to develop fully even confidence to withstand such gruesome character assassinations by media.
We salute him for the confidence that he exuded though in his call of duty regardless such attacks from his fellow colleagues, making every African child proud particularly those that were historically disadvantaged but against all odds, continued to strive to be in par excellence with the rest and even above.

Death of Vuyo Mbuli a regrettable loss to the nation and to journalism – DENOSA
Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) is saddened by the untimely death of the gifted radio and TV presenter, Vuyo Mbuli, and we would like to express our deepest condolences to his family, especially his children.
His death is a regrettable loss to quality journalism in the country.
Vuyo was very close to DENOSA, as an organisation for nurses, and he had been a great part of our key milestones as an organisation of 16 years.
He acknowledged the great contribution that nurses make in the provision of healthcare to the nation amid the difficult conditions that they work under, and the legacy left by stalwarts in nursing such as Mama Albertina Sisulu.
When we celebrated our 10th year anniversary, for example, Vuyo was a great part in organising such a successful event which highlighted the great strides that nurses made in healing the nation.
Also, Vuyo gave a platform for nurses to have their voice heard when we hosted our first South African Nurses Conference in 2011.
True to his outstanding journalism principles with astute insight on everything, Vuyo was a true example of the necessary bridge between society and the decision-makers while remaining humble, relaxed and as simple as a guy from next door. He still had so much to offer the nation through his journalistic brilliance.
May his soul rest in peace and we thank God almighty for borrowing us such a contributive soul as part of the building blocks of our nation and our maturing democracy.
While still devastated, as a nursing fraternity we join the nation in saluting Vuyo for his contribution to humanity at large and for that we say, as he himself would say, ‘Sharp Sharp!’

Deepest condolences on Passing of Vuyo Mbuli
God has created this world and imposed his austere laws upon those that will be given birth, for them to live by, we still cannot understand the most powerful ever law of his creation, which regardless of who we are, our character in the society and denomination, we cannot seem to appear victorious over death.
Every life lost is always an innumerate pain, which, though felt by the rest of those that knew the deceased, seems more of an incomprehensible encounter, that keep widening the pain and bring more confusion to the world, as we are unable to locate reasons why should death reign supremacy over life, such that those that are given birth are always seen, but those that are dead cease existence, regardless that we are told from birth that one day the bell will ring and everyone that died will be revivified, we have since waited forever for that day to come, as even those that died waited for it, to reconnect with their loved ones.
As we wake up to the tear-jerking news that the born on the 14th May 1967 Vuyo Mbuli, has lost life today the 19th May 2013, just days after he has celebrated his 46th birthday, the ANCYL Limpopo wonder and envisage the kind of the world we will live in, wherein key pillars of our strength are dying, leaving their families robbed of happiness, colleagues disadvantaged of wisdom, the world and nation deprived of an open minded personality, that of Vuyo Mbuli.
His provenance for the use of all languages found in our country to greet, particularly on the morning television show broadcasted by the SABC, the Morning Live, was an indication of togetherness and acknowledgement of the diverse realities of our country. His nonracial personality and passion for every element of the society will forever be missed, “SHARP SHARP”
The ANCYL Limpopo sends its excruciating condolences to the Mbuli family and the rest of the world, and thus use this opportunity to urge children, politicians, journalists, public servants, business people and all broadcasters to continue Vuyo‘s character of always seeking solutions even at areas where it is not, where only problems were brewed.
We owe it to Vuyo and all fallen media giants, to maintain the educative shape of the public broadcaster and ensure that it is a pedestal for moral regeneration, by airing developmental programs far from nudity and sex, as they mostly contribute to the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
The public broadcaster is the only better positioned source to wage a warfare against HIV and AIDS.
