Terryl Ross summarized a lot of information at today's City Club meeting: population trends among Oregon counties, U.S. states and regions of the country; the impact of population trends on political representation; trends regarding race and ethnicity, wealth distribution and age. His observations raise questions about how we will address problems from economic development and jobs to health care.

A special thanks to Nick  for inviting me to the City Club today.

 

Per the presentation, I’m following up on my promise to send you the electronic version of the handout I gave today.  Also, I’m attaching links to 2 videos for you.  The first one is a 30 minute video of how some people of color feel about race and ethnicity in Oregon.  I will be making one of these for each state.  The 2nd one is a 1 hour video of my Changing Faces of America presentation.   It's an earlier version of the presentation gave you today, with some of the stuff we did not have time to get to.
