Stefan Th. Gries: Quantitative corpus linguistics with R: a practical introduction
Still under construction ... links may not work yet!
Because of a miscommunication, it turns out that Routledge is only going to be able to begin copyediting the book in June, which makes December/January the most likely time of publication ... :-(
General information
This is the companion website of the following publication: Gries, Stefan Th. to appear. Quantitative corpus linguistics with R: a practical introduction. Routledge, Taylor and Francis Group. This website contains all the files you will need for making the most of this book: the code from all chapters of the book as well as all input and output files and scripts for both the book and the case studies. Please create target directories as suggested below (or similar ones if you use a Macintosh or a Linux/Unix machine), download all files below, and unzip them into the specified target directories. Note: some files are encrypted zip files, which you can extract with the freeware 7-zip (on Windows computers), p7zip or zipeg (on Macintosh computers), or, say, File-roller (on Unix/Linux computers). Ideally, you have already downloaded and installed the other applications you will need most for the book. In case you haven't, here are links to the three most relevant applications, R, Tinn-R, and OpenOffice.org. Many more corpus-linguistically relevant links can be found here.
