Further to my message below, please see the attached
flyer with details of the Ryerson student presentation. You will see we
are first up tomorrow, Wednesday at 6:00pm sharp.
The event is also listed as being in room SSB 312 at
105 Bond Street - the main stair is right there and I find generally faster than
the elevator.
I must correct my statement below - after the panelists
are finished with their questions and comments, it is open to the floor for
questions and comments for the balance of the time to
7:00pm.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend if
possible.
Thanks, Larry
Larry Webb,
PMP
The
Ryerson students are in their final week of their course project producing a
report on the opportunities for enhancement of the public realm, a strengthened
business base, and a safer community for Corktown. They presented their
interim report at our CRBA meeting last Tuesday which for them was a "dry run"
for their final presentation to a panel of "experts" and their course supervisor
this coming Wednesday, April 13. Following this
presentation, the students will receive their course marks and the CRBA will be
able to finalise the report for its use. It will be highly beneficial for
us.
All
those interested are invited to attend the presentation which will start
promptly at 6:00pm at:
105 Bond Street on the 3rd floor - we
don't know which room yet. This is north of Dundas on the east side (one
street east of Victoria St.).
The
panel to whom the students will present, along with their professor Tom
Ostler, will be:
Al
Rezoski, Manager, City of Toronto Planning, Downtown Section
Cindy
Wilkey, CRBA Development Committee member, Chair West Don Lands
Committee
Larry
Webb, CRBA Board VP & Development Committee member
The
panel will present questions to the student group. Questions will not be
invited from the floor.
We
encourage all who are able to come out and support the process and apologise for
the lateness of this notice.
