landscape

I used to be able to select whether I wanted portrait or landscape,
and all was fine. Now I no longer can, since the landscape option is
greyed out in page setup. If I load an old file which has landscape,
then it will display and print as landscape. I have tried unloading WP9
and the printer software, and reloading both. This did not fix the
problem. How do I get the landscape option back?
(the printer is an hp laser jet 1100 and I am using Windows 98)

Is "Landscape" option greyed out for every page type? For my HP
LaserJet 5L, A4 and Letter both offer me a 'landscape' option, but Legal
does not.
