I have wp8 from the "WordPerfect for Linux Bible", it won't install on
Ubuntu warty.
I think it has to do with the 2.6 kernel. The install script
"install.wp" gives the error expecting integer -i386 from a call out to
"uname". I am not a programmer, so I was wondering if any one could
rewite the script to reflect the changes in the information received
from these calls to the kernel.

Also I have wp8 running under Libranet 2.8.1 on another machine. If I
could make a deb package from it would it load and run on Ubuntu. if
so how do I make a deb package.

Thank you Scott

Hi Scott, I haven't used my linux machine for awhile but it has
Libranet on it and I think the deb package conversion program you are
looking for is called Alien, if you can't find it post again and I'll
crank up the lappie and check for you.
