Xandros Installation Wizard Error 8004

Has anyone tried installing Xandros on a PIV 2.4 MHtz machine on a
Windows 2000 Pro partition.

I keep getting an Error Code: 8004

I'm starting to feel like an unskilled pilot trying to land a plane.

When I try to partition my Windows drive I get the following error
message:

The installation cannot continue. The partition could not be resized.
Before trying to install Xandros again, start Windows and scan the
partition for errors using Scandisk for Windows 95/98/ME or the
Error-checking tool for Windows NT/2000/XP. Error code 8004.

I've done the scan/error check thing and I continue to get the error.

Can anyone help me land this thing? It looks like Xandros' service is
only 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, and I'm at work then - so the weekend
is it for me.

I installed Xandros on an XP machine. The hard-drive partition was already
messed up, and the first time it didn't work - I tried the resize partition
option, and it bailed out without doing anything. The second time I tried,
the resize partition option was not available - I went with the 'use
available space' option, which worked fine. (in both cases, I used the
advanced or custom setup, not the automatic).

I think the 30 day support includes email, but haven't looked for the email
address.
