Actually I did...and the Tech support was very rude...Basically said I
needed to reformat my hard drive and reinstall Windows.... Kind of drastic
for only one program malfunctioning.... The guy I talked to treated me like
and idiot and anytime he didn't understand me he would start accusing me of
telling him contradictory things. He was basically hostile for the whole
call... Ultimately he said I needed to format my hard drive, reinstall
windows, then reinstall Painter.... But ..nothing else is wrong with my
computer...Every other program works perfectly! I use my computer a lot in
work...So Reformatting is a last resort... only if something is seriously
wrong with my computer... So any other solutions.... anyone?

Hi Scott

After researching this issue and looking up the notes from your previous
call, I have noticed they following:
You had a major OS crash on your C:Drive(Windows was not functioning
properly), you re-installed your OS to your D:Drive(Leaving the other
corrupted version of Windows on your C:\Drive, then you did not re-install
painter nor download or install any service packs for windows 2k.

I would recommend cleaning up your operating system, having a corrupted copy
of windows on your C:Drive that does not fuction properly could cause some
crashing on your machine. If your D:drive has the copy of windows that you
are using, then there is no need to have the old corrupted version of
windows on your C:drive.

I would also recommend you access www.windowsupdate.com so you can download
and install the latest service packs for your copy of windows.

Finally, try uninstalling your painter 7 from your machine(through add
remove programs in your control panel) and then search for any old Painter
application files and remove them. Next re-install painter to a new location
on your harddrive.
