I am a newbie to Painter, well, not exactly, I used the painter classic cd
but it was not too impresive, so I left it, just because of curiosity i
downloaded and installed the Painter IX, and .... WOW, this program its
great!!! I do not considered myself to be a talented graphic designer, and
my main drawing tool is a common mouse, but as i am using this version of
Painter is like late Bob Ross used to say: There are not mistakes, only
happy accidents.

I am very impress for this trial version of painter 9, and I would like to
learn a lot about it. I been looking in several painter sites, and in most
of them, they have brushes to download, but they specify that they are for
painter 8. I suppose that is because this new version has just been
released. But there is a way to use brushes made to painter 8 and importing
in painter 9?

thank you

Javier,

Yes, you should be able to load Painter 7 and Painter 8 brushes into
Painter IX.

You'll need to know where to put the folders and/or files, though. If
you let us know which brushes you're downloading and give us the URL,
one of us can go take a look and see how those brushes are organized,
then explain where you'll need to put them.

Glad to hear you like Painter IX. It's a great program!

Hi, thank you for your support. Before I sent my original question I d/l a
set of brushes, called nagalseries2. I dont recall the url but I will find
out.

However in the Jin's Painter Pages seems a lots of great stuff for Painter,
can I use them with Painter 9?

BTW, are there different brushes for Mac than PC? I have a PC.
