Next up at Cooldog are the Refugees! This band is very new, but has 3
very experienced professional musicians. Their collaboration has really
been a hit in the musical circles - so much so, I'd recommend you get
your RSVP in for this show - you may not be able to see these ladies in
a venue this intimate again. They'll be touring in the mid-atlantic again:
- in June, they'll be at the Sellersville Theatre, so you can see them
with 300 other people
- in July, they'll be at the Xponential Festival on the Riverfront in
Philly/Camden, so you can see them with thousands of other people
- in August, they'll play the Philly Folk Fest, so you can see them with
30,000 of your closest friends
For this special show we're asking a $20 donation ($12 for ages 10-18
and active military). We're back to our standard Sunday at 3pm schedule,
too.
The date is this Sunday, April 20.

The Refugees represent an incredible convergence of talent. Each
performs their individual songs accompanied by the other two on guitars,
bass, melodica, keyboards, percussion, mandolin, and harmonica,
culminating in the creation of new renditions of their exceptional work.
They have been described as a female version of Crosby, Stills and Nash
with humor.

newest one entitled Bad Girl Once... (RageOn Records, 2006).

match Warren Zevon." (Sing Out! magazine), "a female Loudon
Wainwright III" (OC Weekly) and "as a wordsmith, Deborah Holland
concerns herself with the balance between heart and mind. As an
artist, she makes the balance seem effortless" (Dirty Linen: Folk
