New to ConvergeSouth 2008
The Video Walking Tour is a new ConvergeSouth 2008 event. We know
Greensboro is an awesome city and that you've only just arrived. We
want you to know that our citizens know that you should know that
Greensboro is awesome. Music, culture, history - Greensboro's got more
of it than you think.
In order for you to find out more about this wonderful city, we've
commandeered two unmarked vans that will take 30 lucky video bloggers
to two different Greensboro locations - that's 15 in each van, we know
you aren't circus clowns. Each group will be required to capture the
essence of the Greensboro community in a 5 minute video but will shoot
hours of footage that will be your own personal B-roll collection.
Then they will return to an top-secret, undisclosed location (a.k.a we
just don't know where yet, want to donate a space?) in order to learn
how to edit your own video and then produce a ConvergeSouth Citizen
Video to post online.
Entries will be judged and critiqued by everyone, and possibly
ridiculed or vaunted by bloggers worldwide. Participate at your own
risk.
Requirements:
* You must have your own video camera
* You do not need video experience but must know how to operate
your own camera
REGISTRATION OPENS IN TWO WEEKS - Limited to the first 30 people who
register.
