to ControlTier
Hello,
I am looking for a way to automate the deployment of EAR to multiple
JBoss instances which drives the application developed on ATG 10. What
I would need / hope to achieve is,
1. Build the EAR
2. Shutdown 1 of the 3 JBoss instances
3. Deploy the EAR
4. Startup the JBoss instance
5. Repeat 2 -4 for the other 2 instances
I've found ControlTier and it, together with the ATG Automation
Library looks like doing what I want (Yay!) but before proceeding, I
just want to double check if this would work with version 10 of ATG.
I wouldn't expect there are version specific issue but just verifying
for the just in case. Also, if you have any experience with using
ControlTier with ATG10, I would love to hear your experience (pit-
fall, things to avoid, etc)
Many thanks!

Hi Ronnie,
I am aware of some sites using the ControlTier ATG Solution Library with ATG 10, and there is benefit to the library if you're looking for automation of more sophisticated procedural automation such as Commerce A/B catalog switching.
If your requirements are simply to deploy an ATG ear file to existing environments you might consider using Rundeck and simple scripting as part of a loosely-coupled toolchain.
